Read-A-Longs Galore!

If you're anything like me, you watch a lot of YouTube videos. And, what does a book blogger spend most of her time watching on YouTube? BookTube videos of course! There's been a growing trend semi-recently in the BookTube community of holding large, group read-a-longs for popular books and then having a liveshow through Google+ to converse and interact with the community in relation to the books! Since I watch a ridiculous amount of BookTubers, I've been sucked into quite a few of these read-a-long style events.

During the end of March/beginning of April there are A LOT of events like this happening and I've been nearly overwhelmed by all the books I'm planning on reading before the deadlines. In this post, I'm going to feature a few of these read-a-longs and give you links to the Goodreads groups and people in charge in case you might be interested in participating! Alright? Let's jump right into this!

The Archived Read-A-Long

Notes: The Goodreads page is organized into 4 forums (an intro section and one for each third of the book) so you can discuss as you read instead of waiting until the end! Not only is this whole read-a-long super organized and exciting, but if you send Victoria Schwab an eMail letting her know you're joining the read-a-long and include your receipt and address, she will send you a signed bookplate! How cool is that?!

Don't Panic Read-A-Long

Notes: This is actually the second read-a-long from Booksplosion (the group name recently adopted by this group of BookTubers). Last month, they held a read-a-long and liveshow for Control by Lydia Kang. I didn't participate in that one, but I'm so excited for this time around. Their Goodreads group is organized just the same as the event above and makes it extremely easy and exciting to discuss the book before the liveshow even rolls around!

Cress Read-A-Long

Notes: This group is using the #cressreadalong on Twitter to discuss and, as far as I know, does not have a Goodreads group. If you would like information beyond what I can give to you (or just want to see all the BookTubers involved) check out all the hosts' YouTube channels and you will find a video about the read-a-long.
