The first time I read it I thought it was okay, but not anywhere near as amazing and life changing as everyone made out. I didn't even cry. But, the second time, I knew to expect Hazel and Augustus as characters that aren't realistic, and it made it so much easier to go with the book. I sobbed far too much and ended up loving it a lot more. I'd hate to reread something I once loved and find I wasn't as much of a fan any more :( Great topic this week, here's mine.Charnell @ Reviews from a Bookwormhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12694156080937232949noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4914868173994312778.post-78081655239974353152014-06-19T01:53:51.033-04:002014-06-19T01:53:51.033-04:00Oh, that would majorly suck, to reread something t...Oh, that would majorly suck, to reread something that you once loved but it's just... not as great as you remember :( Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4914868173994312778.post-147581382631317752014-06-19T00:37:32.414-04:002014-06-19T00:37:32.414-04:00I'm with you - I can't imagine re-reading ...I'm with you - I can't imagine re-reading something that I didn't like the first time, with one major exception. If I hated it in high school or at some point when I was forced to read it, I would be willing to give it another chance now that I'm a bit older/wiser. But that's really the only scenario I can see that happening in!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
